“EGYPT: How to mummify your inner fears: A step by step guide”
Egypt chapter is one of my favourite chapters in Gallivanting. It’s where I lived my most dramatic reincarnated-queen fantasy. After speaking at the Cairo International Book Fair as the first Sri Lankan writer to be speaking there, I gave into the wave of history soaring around me, walking round and round around the great the pyramids of Giza, Cairo Museums, and walked through Alexandria absolutely certain I’ve lived there before. Luxor had me temple-hopping like a mad woman overwhelmed with a heavy Civilization, and to top it off, I sailed the Nile on a falcon-shaped cruise ship because, why just float when you can soar?
