Kanchana Priyakantha, a writer, educator turned entrepreneur, currently resides in Colombo, Sri Lanka. In 2017, she co-founded KBOOKS, and in 2022, she co-founded KReader. At present, she serves as the co-founder and CEO of both KBOOKS and KReader while actively engaging in writing.

Since her school days, Kanchana has immersed herself in literary pursuits, authoring twelve books in various genres in both Sinhala and English. Several of her works have earned recognition, with some being shortlisted for literary awards. Notably, her collection of short stories, "Dream Catchers," clinched national literature accolades in 2029. Her writings have been translated into English, Tamil, and Nepali. Beyond her personal achievements in writing, she also plays a pivotal role as the coordinator for the Foundation of SAARC Writers and Literature (FOSWAL) in India, representing Sri Lanka. Various educational institutions, including international and semi-government schools, have integrated her educational publications into their curricula.

In 2023, she was honored with both the SAARC Literary Awards and the FOSWAL Literary Awards from the Foundation of SAARC Writers and Literature in India.

She secured the second place in the She Loves Tech local rounds in 2023, representing KReader.

ශ්‍රී ලංකා විවෘත විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයෙන් ඉංග්‍රීසි සහ ඉංග්‍රීසි භාෂාව ඉගැන්වීම පිළිබඳ ශාස්ත්‍රවේදී ගෞරව උපාධිය හිමිකරගත් ඇය පස්දුන්රට ජාතික අධ්‍යාපන විද්‍යා පීඨයේ ආදී ශිෂ්‍යාවකි. 2006 සිට 2018 වර්ෂය දක්වා ඉංග්‍රීසි භාෂා සහ ඉංග්‍රීසි සාහිත්‍ය ගුරුවරියක ලෙස සේවය කළ ඇය මේ වන විට පූර්ණකාලීන ලේඛිකාවක සහ ප්‍රකාශිකාවක ලෙස කටයුතු කරන්නීය.

ඉන්දියාවේ සාර්ක් ලේඛක සහ සාහිත්‍ය පදනමේ ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ප්‍රධාන සම්බන්ධීකාරකවරිය ලෙස කටයුතු කරන ඇය , 2023 වර්ෂයේදී සාර්ක් සාහිත්‍ය සම්මානයෙන් සහ ෆොස්වාල් සාහිත්‍ය සම්මානයෙන් පිදුම් ලැබුවාය.

ඇගේ කෙටිකතා සහ කවි ඉංග්‍රීසි , දෙමළ සහ නේපාල යන භාෂාවන්ට පරිවර්තනය වී ඇත.
